With Your Help We Will Make The Difference
I was diagnosed with MS in April 2004 and am on a mission to help people with Multiple
Sclerosis and Parkinson’s as they travel a similar path as my own. This disease has changed
every aspect of my life and like myself, there are more than one million people in our country
struggling with this debilitating disease. Physical symptoms range from numbness, spasticity,
and uncontrollable movement in parts of the body to complete paralysis. Visual impairments
range from macular degeneration to complete blindness. For a long time, I had given up, but
could not and would not allow myself to end my life. I decided to make a change and to make
a difference for others suffering like me.
With your help, we can provide support to people with these disabilities. This will allow those
impacted to have another avenue for assistance in acquiring the much-needed equipment to
allow for a return to pre-disease mobility.
Reasons to support MS and Parkinson’s Mobility Alliance:
= Very few mobility and specialty medical devices are covered by insurance
= Personal costs for these devices often exceed tens of thousands of dollars
= Very limited resources for those impacted to acquire the equipment needed to increase
their mobility.
= Modifications to vehicles, homes and equipment are rarely covered by insurance
